Data we collect

Through wuic-framework.com we collect the following categories of personal data:

• Browsing data: IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamps, visited pages. Collected automatically by the web server logs.
• Technical preferences: selected language, cookie consent state. Stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.
• Payment and license data: PayPal email, payer name, transaction identifiers, amount, purchased product, machine fingerprint of the installation server. Transmitted by PayPal at checkout and stored for license issuance and support.
• Support data: content of emails sent to licensing@wuic-framework.com or other published contact addresses.

Purposes and legal bases

• Performance of the license contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): issuing, renewing and supporting purchased WUIC licenses.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): fraud prevention, technical diagnostics, security of the site and our systems.
• Legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR): 10-year retention of tax documents (Art. 2220 Italian Civil Code), VAT and anti-money-laundering duties.
• Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR): installation of third-party cookies (PayPal for checkout, Google Ads for conversion measurement and remarketing) governed by the cookie banner. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Recipients and third parties

Your data may be disclosed to the following parties, each acting either as independent controller or processor:

• PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.: payment processing. PayPal acts as an independent controller for data collected during checkout. Privacy policy at paypal.com/privacy.
• Contabo GmbH (Germany): website and application server hosting. Access logs retained for 30 days for security purposes.
• Email provider (SMTP): delivery of support and license emails.
• Google Ireland Limited (and Google LLC for the United States): advertising conversion measurement and remarketing through the Google Ads tag. The tag is loaded only after your consent to the marketing category: without consent no Google server is contacted. Google acts as an independent controller. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Transfers outside the EU: hosting, email and PayPal process data within the European Economic Area, PayPal under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Data collected by the Google Ads tag, subject to your consent, may be transferred to the United States by Google LLC under the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you decline the marketing category the tag is not even loaded: no data, including your IP address, reaches Google's servers.

Retention periods

• Browsing logs: 30 days from the request date, except for security investigation needs.
• localStorage preferences: persistent until you manually clear them from your browser settings.
• Transactional data and invoices: 10 years from issuance, as required by Art. 2220 Italian Civil Code and tax law.
• Support communications: 3 years from ticket closure, for historical archive and legal defense.

Your rights

As a data subject, under Arts. 15-22 GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data and receive a copy;
• request rectification of inaccurate data;
• request erasure of data, subject to legal retention obligations;
• restrict processing in case of contestation;
• receive your data in a structured, transferable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• withdraw consent at any time (without prejudice to prior lawful processing).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) if you believe processing violates applicable law.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The site uses technical cookies (strictly necessary) and, subject to consent, third-party cookies for the PayPal checkout and for Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.
